Tell us about your working career to date and what brought you to Genius?

I’ve been working in digital marketing since graduating back in 2011, working both agency side and freelance. I took a few years’ career break to travel the world, and have been self-employed since returning to the UK. While I was working with lots of amazing businesses, I missed the stability of agency life and working on projects with a team. The Digital Genius role came along at the perfect time and as soon as I read more about the company, the more I knew this was the perfect place for me.

What do you like most about your role?

As a newbie to the team, I’m only just getting stuck into the work, however, I love the mission and values that Genius has which all very much align with my own. The clients we work with are inspiring and passionate about what they do, which will definitely make my job that little bit easier! Genius offers the flexibility and freedom I wanted from my next role while offering the opportunity to work with a really talented team.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I am a dog mum to a 7-month-old whippet called Toast who takes up most of my time at the moment! When I’m not chasing her around trying to stop her from eating all my shoes, I love to go walking, travel to new places, eat vegan junk food and spend time with my 2 baby nieces. I also have a travel blog that I launched during lockdown (not the best timing…) where I love to share content and stories from my travels.

Any recommendations on music/podcasts/boxsets/movies/apps that you have downloaded/listened to /watched recently?

I’ll be honest I have pretty awful taste in TV… I’ll watch anything trashy/reality/with the word ‘serial killer’ in the title. Ru Paul’s Drag Race and Selling Sunset are my biggest obsessions. Podcasts I have on repeat include The Diary of a CEO, Saturn Returns, and My Dad Wrote a Porno which always has me laughing ‘til I cry.
